Коллектив Башкирского республиканского орнитологического общества (БРОО) и Башкирского отделения Союза охраны птиц России благодарит руководство ОАО «Башспирт» http://www.bashspirt.ru за оказанную помощь в создании фильмов о животном мире Башкортостана, выпуске книги «Полевой определитель птиц Европейской части России и Урала (кроме птиц отрядов Буревестникообразные и Воробьинообразные)», а также проведении I Республиканского интернет-конкурса «Птицы Башкирии» (1-4 Сезоны) (2010-2011 гг.). Также коллектив БРОО и Баш. отделения СОПР благодарит ГУП «НИИ БЖД» http://www.nii-bgd.ru за оказанную помощь в проведении II Республиканского интернет-конкурса «Птицы Башкирии» (Сезоны Зима/Весна) (2012 г.).

Общественная организация «Башкирское республиканское орнитологическое общество» (БРОО) создана 11 июля 2003 г. Председателем является Валуев Виктор Алексеевич, зам. председателя и администратором сайта – Полежанкина Полина Геннадьевна.
Целью общества является пропаганда знаний о птицах нашей республики и сопредельных территорий. Активисты общества стремятся научить людей определять птиц в природе; предоставить информацию о распространении видов птиц на территории Башкирии; познакомить начинающих исследователей орнитофауны с методиками её учёта.
Смысл работы общества заключается в целенаправленном повышении уровня знаний любителей птиц до той планки, когда их наблюдения будут котироваться как научные.
Занятия проводятся в научно-учебном музее и аудиториях БашГУ.
Состав: школьники, студенты, учителя, сотрудники ВУЗов и др. организаций.
Членами общества выпущены в свет аудиокассеты и CD-диски с голосами птиц, а также видеофильмы об экологии и распространении птиц Башкирии. Разработаны определители птиц, по которым даже человек, совершенно не знающий пернатых, может с точностью определить в природе некоторые виды (кулики, гусеобразные). Членами общества ведётся работа по созданию определителя птиц по перьям. В БРОО существует единственный в Башкирии центр реабилитации птиц. Во время экспедиционных выездов по территории Башкортостана проводятся учёты, кольцевание, наблюдения за линькой, питанием и поведением птиц. С 2004 г. по результатам исследований выпускается ежегодный сборник статей «Башкирский орнитологический вестник».

The team of Bashkir Republic Ornithological Society and of Bashkir Division of the Russian Bird Preservation Society would like to thank the members of the management of BASHSPIRT http://www.bashspirt.ru for their assistance in the production of films on Bashkortostan wildlife, as well as for the publication of the book «Device for field identification of birds of the European part of Russia and the Ural region» (except birds of the orders of storm-petrels and sparrows), as well as the organization of the first internet-competition in Bashkortostan «Birds of Bashkortostan» (1st season- winter, 2010).
We look forward to further creative cooperation.

The public organization Bashkir Republic Ornithological Society (BROS) was founded on July 11, 2003. Victor Valuev is the Chairman, Polina Polezhankina is the Vice-Chairman and webmaster.
The objective of the Society is the popularization of knowledge about our region’s and neighbouring regions’ birds. The activists of the Society try to teach how to identify birds in their natural habitat; they give information about the distribution of species of birds on Bashkir territory, they educate the beginner ornithological fauna explorers about the records methodologies.
The purpose of the Society is to commit itself to enhance the knowledge of wildlife amateur explorers to the level where their observations would be considered as scientific.
The courses take place at the University Museum and in the lecture rooms of the Bashkir State University.
Members: schoolchildren, university students, teachers, workers of colleges and universities, and other organizations.
The members of the Society produced audiocassettes and CDs with the recorded voices of birds, as well as films about the habitat and the distribution of birds in Bashkortostan. Birds identifiers have been created by means of which a person who is not at all knowledgeable about birds can identify certain species in their natural habitat (sandpipers, order of goose). The members of the Society are working on creating an identifier of birds according to their feathers. The Society is the only organization in Bashkortostan to have a care (rehabilitation) center for birds. During the expeditions in Bashkortostan, the Society makes records, ringing, and observations about moult, food and behaviour of birds. Since 2004, according to the results of these observations, «Bashkir Ornithological Bulletin», an annual collected articles volume, has been published.
